Electric Buses

Electric buses will be coming to Derbyshire soon following a successful joint bid by Derbyshire County Council and Stagecoach for Government funding to replace diesel engine vehicles with a new fleet of ‘clean energy’ electric buses.

These new vehicles will be much kinder to the environment because of their zero emissions engine technology. Other differences you will notice are a quieter and smoother ride. The buses should be easier to maintain and be more reliable because they have fewer engine parts and no exhaust system.
