17 - 30 Dec 2025      Hayworth Road - Sandiacre

Road Closure - Hayworth Road, Sandiacre - SERVICE 29 AFFECTED

Due To Emergency Roadworks on Hayworth Road, Access to Hayworth Road will not be Possible from the 17th December to the 30 December. The following bus stops will not be served during this time:
- Smedleys Avenue
- The Paddocks
- York Avenue
- Lancaster Avenue
- Hayworth Road

Prospective customers are advised to make their way to any of the bus stops along the diversion route.

This service will carry on along Longmoor Lane up to the junction where it will turn left onto Derby Road, then right at King Edward Street, then left onto Victoria Road, then left on to Bennet Street, and a final left onto Derby Road at White Lion.

12 Jan - 22 Feb 2026      Shuttlewood Road, Bolsover

Road Closure – Shuttlewood Road, Bolsover – Bus Services 53 and 53A Affected

Due to a long-term road closure on Shuttlewood Road from the 12th of January 2026 to the 22nd of February 2026, bus services 53 and 53A will operate on a diverted route during this time. Services will be diverted via Station Road, Chesterfield Road, and Buttermilk Lane.

Outbound from Bolsover:
After leaving Bolsover Market Place, buses will:
• Travel down Station Road
• Continue via Chesterfield Road
• Divert along Buttermilk Lane
• Rejoin the normal route at Shuttlewood

Inbound to Bolsover:
Buses will:
• Travel from Shuttlewood along Chesterfield Road
• Continue via Buttermilk Lane
• Return to Station Road
• Resume the normal route at Bolsover Market Place

NB: During this time, the following bus stops will not be in use:
• Hides Green
• New Street
• Mill Lane
• Lodge Farm
• Masons Cottages
• Wyandotte Farm
• Vivian Street

- Please allow extra time for your journey.
- Check for any temporary stop changes before travelling.

5 Jan - 15 Mar 2026      Linton Heath, Linton

Linton Heath Road closure - Diamond Bus services 19C, 21, 21E and 825 diverted

Linton Heath will be closed from 5th January until 15th March 2026 to allow South Staffordshire Water to undertake work.

Diamond Bus services 19C, 21, 21E and school service 825 will be diverted for the duration of the works. Temporary timetables can be found on the link below at www.derbysbus.info, timings will be adjusted to allow for heavier traffic.

The following stops will not be served:

Main Street, School (both directions)
Linton Heath, Colliery Lane (east bound)
Linton Heath, Off Licence (both directions)
Linton Heath, Waterfallows Lane (west bound)
Linton Heath, Methodist Church (both directions)
Linton Heath, Mount Pleasant (west bound)

Please note that the 19C Moira to Burton will be diverted via Dunton Lane where passengers can join the service 21.

12 - 20 Jan 2026      Wesley Street and Hope Street, Glossop

Wesley Street and Hope Street, Glossop - SERVICE 390 AFFECTED

Wesley Street and Hope Street in Glossop will be closed due to electric utility works from the 12th January 2026 to the 20th January 2026.

During this period, Service 390 will be diverted. Buses travelling from Blackshaw Road will turn right into Wellgate, then left into Church Street, and continue via Manor Park Road before re-joining the normal route.

The following bus stops will not be served during the closure:

Wellgate, E-Bound Wellgate
Hope Street, E-Bound Hope Street
Hope Street, adjacent bus terminus
Shepley Street, opposite Queens Arms

Passengers are advised to use alternative nearby stops and allow extra time for their journey.

6 Jan - 14 Apr 2026      Swadlincote Bus Station and Car Park

Swadlincote Bus Station and Car Park temporary closure

To facilitate improvements to Swadlincote Bus Station, the bus station and car park will be temporary closed to all users from Tuesday 6th January 2026. The temporary closures are expected to be in place for 12 weeks affecting the car park and for 14 weeks affecting the bus station.

Drivers should use other car parks in the town centre during the closure.

Bus services and coaches will be moved to two temporary stops which will be on Civic Way, next to the Bus Station (temporary stop 1) and Civic Offices (temporary stop 2). These locations are shown on the map linked.

Bus services will serve the two temporary stops as listed below:

• 9 East Midlands Airport via Ashby de la Zouch & Melbourne
• 9 Burton upon Trent via Newhall & Winshill

• 19A to Burton upon Trent via Newhall & Brizlincote
• 24 to Midway
• 29 to Leicester via Ashby de la Zouch & Coalville
• 29A to Leicester via Ashby de la Zouch & Coalville

• 4 to Burton upon Trent via Newhall & Stanton
• 19 to Ashby de la Zouch
• 19A to Mercia Park
• 21 to Burton upon Trent via Linton & Stanton
• 21E to Burton upon Trent via Linton & Stanton

• 22 to Burton upon Trent via Walton on Trent

Coach excursions / tours on Temporary Stop 1

13 Oct - 19 Dec 2025      Long Duckmanton

Major disruption to Stagecoach 1 & 2 services

There is a 10 week road closure on the A632 at Long Duckmanton for water main renewal. A revised timetable for the 1 and 2 services is linked below.

Service 1 and 2 buses will divert via Brimington Common, Brimington and Inkersall, rejoining the normal route at Duckmanton. The services will stop at all bus stops on the diversion route. Journey times will be extended, and a revised timetable is in place for the duration of the works. Once the road is reopened, the services will revert to reintroduce the previous route and timetable.

Buses will set off from Chesterfield at the same times as now. Arkwright Town will be served by service 1 only for the duration of the works. Service 2 will not serve Arkwright Town.

Due to the extra time required to complete the diversion route, most journeys on service 1 will terminate at Shirebrook and most journeys on service 2 will terminate at Bolsover.

For travel between Shirebrook, Langwith and Whaley Thorns, customers are requested to use bus 23.

For travel between Bolsover, Scarcliffe and Palterton, service 53 will be available.

19 Dec 2025 onwards      Ripley Marketing Place

Ripley Market Place - stops return from Friday 19th December

All services temporarily displaced to other stops at Grosvenor Road and High Street will return to normal operations and bus stop from start of service (05:15) Friday 15th December.

The services which have been affected are:

• 9.1 to Mansfield
• 9.3 to Mansfield
• 90 to Mansfield
• 141 to Matlock
• 147 to Belper
• 148 to Alfreton
• 148a to Alfreton
• ‘rainbow one’ to Nottingham
• ‘the comet’ to Chesterfield

13 Feb 2025 onwards      B5470 near Rainow

Service 60/60a Macclesfield - Whaley Bridge - Buxton emergency timetable for road closure near Rainow

Due to the B5470 road collapsing between Rainow and Kettleshulme an emergency timetable has been introduced. The majority of journeys have been curtailed to operate between Macclesfield and Rainow only, or between Kettleshulme and Hayfield only.

There are a limited number of through journeys between Macclesfield and Hayfield, which are diverted between Whaley Bridge (Horwich End) and Macclesfield via the Cat & Fiddle and Long Hill, with increased journey times as a result.

All journeys will operate as service 60. The Stoneheads Estate in Whaley Bridge will continue to be served on a reduced basis. Please see the emergency timetable for full details.
