Service 170 (school service):
• The 170 service will not serve Holymoorside during the closure period.
• To avoid arriving early at Brookfield School/Storrs Road, the bus will:
o Depart Chesterfield 12 minutes later than scheduled.
o Depart Bakewell 12 minutes later than scheduled.
Service 84 - Diversion Route
The 84 service will follow the diversion below:
Beetwell Street → Chatsworth Road → Somersall Lane → Walton Back Lane → Cotton Mill Lane → New Road → Gallery Lane → Loads Road → Holymoor Road → Loads → Road → Cotton Mill Lane → Walton Back Lane → Somersall Lane → Chatsworth Road → Beetwell Street
10 Jun 2025 onwards Clay Cross
Some alterations to the facilities at Clay Cross Bus Station are being made in connection with the work to reopen Bridge Street.
Stand 3 is being removed entirely and buses will share the remaining 4 stands. Some stands will be renumbered.
The new stand allocations are:
stand 1 for 48 to Heath and Brampton, 48a to Heath and Hasland Academy, 49 to Clowne
stand 2 for 54 to Chesterfield
stand 3 (the old stand 4) for 51 to Chesterfield
stand 4 (the old stand 5) for 55 to Alfreton and 63 to Matlock or Chesterfield
13 Feb - 30 Jun 2025 B5470 near Rainow
Due to the B5470 road collapsing between Rainow and Kettleshulme an emergency timetable has been introduced. The majority of journeys have been curtailed to operate between Macclesfield and Rainow only, or between Kettleshulme and Hayfield only.
There are a limited number of through journeys between Macclesfield and Hayfield, which are diverted between Whaley Bridge (Horwich End) and Macclesfield via the Cat & Fiddle and Long Hill, with increased journey times as a result.
All journeys will operate as service 60. The Stoneheads Estate in Whaley Bridge will continue to be served on a reduced basis. Please see the emergency timetable for full details.
